The 2010 release of Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Concerts gave me a chance to "confess" my near lifelong love of what I might term Time Life "complete collections" in our Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Concerts Blu-ray review, and I kind of jokingly wondered in the closing comments of that review if another volume might be forthcoming in 4 to 6 weeks, per old school Time Life subscription series methodology. It's taken close to eight years, but Time Life is back with another Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Blu-ray release, albeit one that in some ways might be compared more accurately to another venerable magazine institution, Reader's Digest. This new two disc set assembles snippets from the induction ceremonies of several years of Rock & Roll Hall of Fame celebrations, along with selected performances from those inductions. It's a wonderful overview with some winning performances, but Time Life completists (and you know who you — we? — are) may wish that the "whole megillah" had been included, maybe (per time honored Time Life tradition) as part of a subscription series.
